Well, I grabbed a buddy of mine and we went to Gateway Raceway for the test and tune. Neither of us had ever been. We got there about 6:30ish and all we saw were race cars... We felt a bit out of place, but everyone was nice and we figured everything out (watcheing a few rounds helped too). Anyway, I made my first run against an LS1 camaro (14.6@98), my second against a 70 cutlass with 426 dropped in(14.7@91), and my 30 against an LT1 camaro(14.1@102). I didn't do to well, here's my numbers:

This was in D, brake torque and flooring it.
R/T: .649
60' 2.478
330 6.948
1/8 10.575
MPH 68.43
1000 13.667
1/4 16.308
MPH 85.02

This run I had it in 1st, but when I went to shift to 2nd I hit to far and put it into D
1.210 (Wasn't ready...)
2.438
6.811
10.375
69.55
13.435
16.056
85.61

This run I manually shifted, but when I went to put it into 3rd (D w/out OD) I hit it too far and dropped the car into neutral... oops...
.546 (nailed the R/T)
2.431
6.817
10.394
69.03
13.671
16.443
80.55

Ouch, that isn't too good... But, I have my excuses all ready: 1.) It was hot, like 88-90 degrees and high humidity. (nobody was runnign that great) 2.) I was heavy, had my toolbox in the trunk and half a tank of gas 3.) I'm new at this, i was nervous!

Tell me what you guys think, I feel the mod bug hitting me hard now...

You didnt do too badly. Those times arent that far out of whack for an auto in the summer heat and humidity.

Are you stock? Like Madmax said, those numbers aren't that bad for an auto, especially if you're stock. Next time though, lose some weight! You know the Maxima is heavy as it is without all the junk in the trunk. Also, you seem a bit too nervous judging from what you said. I only went to a track once so far. Since it was my first time, I was a bit nervous too, but didn't make much mistakes other than shifting a bit late when manually shifting a few times. I ran with almost a full tank of gas too, which was dumb on my part. And I left my tire pressure at 35psi all around. Anyway, my best time was a 15.5 at 89mph. This was, however, later at night, when the temperature was a bit cooler. In the daytime when it was hot as heck, I could only get a 15.7-15.8 . I manually shifted almost all, but one of my runs. Got a sad 16.0 when I left in Drive, but got my best reaction time and 60' leaving it in Drive. I should have try leaving it in Drive when I made more runs at night. The cooler air might have help drop the time a bit. Anyway, good run, you'll more than likely do better next time, as will I.

HEY! I saw a BONE STOCK 5th gen run at Lebanon Valley last night. It was not too bad...15.9 at the 1/4 mile. I didn't take my car as I was on narcotic painkillers from the surgery I had in the morning, but it was a fun time!

Surgery, what kind? You ok? If you were out and about that night it must have been wisdom teeth or something
