Alright just have to say, Maxus 2001 was completely awesome. I rolled in at 9 AM this morning with another friend and all I saw was a steady stream of Maxima's, all different shapes, colors and varieties rolling in from all over. The Maxima part was excellent. Well organized, and great prizes (thanks leatherseats.com! :-) ). Special shoutouts to Whitemax (thanks buddy), Supa Lao, MedicSonic, RedMaxPA and I'm sure I'm missing many others. It was great seeing everybody's maxima, having the db racing, dyno and 1/4 mile was an added plus, and the other sport compacts there too. The 2002 Maxima looks kick butt and so did most people's.

The 1/4 mile was also much fun, even though I didnt run my best it was great seeing Maxima's out there beating civics, integras and neons.

The dB race unfortunately was the worst one I've ever been to. Totally unorganized and their equipment wasnt even calibrated well at all (to give you an idea how much it was off, one mic was 20 db higher then the other, in the same car!). I didnt win anything but it was still fun.

Suggestions for next year... barbecue (even if we have to pay extra) and drinks.

All I gotta say now is I cant wait to see the pics and videos. Great meeting everybody in person.

Dude... we had so much extra soda and water! We have cases of it sitting in storage now. I guess not everyone knew we had it, since they were in plastic storage containers with ice and not coolers.

Well, I wouldn't want you to get bored and fall asleep on the road.

Besides, I didn't get my numbers so I couldn't run 1/4 mile. I gotta have a little excitement in my life.

So blast the music and weave at 110!

I didn't see any cops in VA... wait a minute... were we in VA??? I thought we were in MD. Well, on my run back to NY, I didn't see to many cops until NJ. But by then I was tired of weaving at 100+

I think I'm jet lagged, I've been sleeping most of this day!

I came from Georgia and on the way up there I got a warning for going 5 mph over and on the way home I got a ticket for going 7 mph over.

I just wanted to mention that your car looked really sweeeeeet with those 18" SSR's! Not many 5th gens there, but yours was most definetly noticed. Very nice.

Iron Lung: Nah man, you gotta get a ticket at LEAST 10 mph over the limit. You could have gotten the org to chip in and pay for your ticket!

Maximizd27: Thanks maxmizd, I hated my spot... no shade AND it was on a slope. But oh well... I personally like the black 5th gen with the bug deflector on it and that green 5th gen that was racing the 1/4 mile. I saw him kicked *ss a few times. =)

Quansung: yeah, I remember him... I was with Synki (the caravan sprayer). He waved me to slow down. Too bad too... I had a clear stretch of road too.

Was I speeding? hehehe...

I have to second this... I was hanging out in Medsonic's room while he made the first post. He kept complaining that the B key was all F'd up. ...that, the screen resolution was terrible and there was no mouse!

Did anyone try the Playstation in the rooms?

Phew what a great time...the jersey caravan rolled out around 7ish sat AM. 7 max's (barrynyc, Jose, MegaMax, jason yeh, Synki, JeffK, and myself) and 2 audi's (JimW and Steve)...no real problems minus jason getting pulled over for agressive driving Great turnout of course although i hoped it was going to be a larger showing. Thanks to the organizers again for making it all happen...

Thanks for pointing that out GXE and DMB. But Maxus was really cool, even though it took that to find out that I am now a member of the SMC.

Someone's delusional. What do you plan on doing that you already haven't done? Intake? Done. Exhaust? Done. NOS? Done. Please don't give me that VB will bring me down a second crap either.

Ok, I shoulda changed the title to "First post about maxus after maxus"... I'm pretty sure I was the first one cause I made it home before most you guys even made it back to the hotel. I'm not the fastest car but I think I made it home the fastest :-)

That green max was Pioneer. That was his first time at the track too. Lets just say Pioneer is a speed demon when it comes to highway driving. i think he went 140 1 or 2 times. It was a beatch to keep up with him.
