Wenol and/or Bright Sheild?

I was at www.aaarims.com, and for every product search they kept pushing this stuff. Seems like a nice product to keep that dust from eating away at the finish.

Anyone ever use it???

Same as wax?

I'm not sure about a coat of wax, which is a relatively fragile protector and easily pitted by brake dust I would imagine.
In any case, even if it was equivalent protection, is a product like Wenol worth anything, to remove brake dust to get it clean in the first place?

I've never, ever had a problem "removing" brake dust from my wheels.

Then I guess that settles that!
Thanks for the input.

if my 3M wax can hold up to bird shiznit, it can hold up to brake dust (which it does). I don't even have to wipe the wheels with a rag. I just spray it with a garden hose (when the wheel/rotors are cold, of course) and the brake dust comes right off.

Ever have problems w/brake dust?

Yes. One car was hubcaps, but another was rims with an old finish, but the fronts were definitely darker than the rears. Fortunately, none of the Maximas have had the issue.
I have some fear of running bare, polished aluminum for the rest of the summer (I just received hand polished wheels, without clearcoat. The owner buffed them regularly), but the previous owner seemed to be able to clean them. I plan to clearcoat them

When waxing rims, do you guys just wax the outside or do you also wax the inside of the rims? I don't I will have any problems waxing the outside(what you can see) of the rims, but the inside part of the rims would be very hard to wax unless you take the rims off. Also, how long does the wax last? If it's the same as waxing the exterior the car, maybe 3 months? I got the Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish. Is that good enough? I don't think it's a 3M product though.
