I'm so tired of these "will I win this race?" posts. Just do it. It's street racing, try not to take it too seriously (well, safety wise, be ****, but this is street racing anyway...). If you've bet money on the race, or talked so much smack that your ego and reputation will be ruined if you lose...you need to get the hell over it. So what, their car might be faster, yours might...WHO CARES?

Just do it. Race them, see who wins. Then you know a little more than when you started and you had some fun along the way.

but I agree with "mzmtg" why ask, just do it and see what happens! and usually the GSX ia a 14.8(what my friend runs) to low 15s car stock....hahaha, you're trying to compare an Integ GS and a Probe GT to a GSX..hahahahaha

 

couldnt agree with you more.........if anything ppl responding will either a) hype him up for no reason or b) discourage him when you prob could have done better.

 

this guy in the 4th Gen forum beat a GSX with his 97 Auto and all he had was an Intake.. so i am not saying anything

I got smoked by the Heavily Modded GSX in DC. on the highway. Although I did have a full car load of people. Nah, I'll just say it. I'm slow.

 

You have an EXTERNAL modem? BTW, those surge protectors don't really work against lightining, only the brief power strikes. ANYWAY. A properly driven 5 speed GST/X is not beatable by a auto Maxima without forced induction. Auto, different story.

Remember and say after me, an AUTO GST/X is SLOW, just like an auto Maxima (here come the flames).

A few months back I raced my friends 1995 Talon TSi (5-speed). He drop the clutch at 5000 rpms and got half a car length instantly. But once we hit 130kh/h we were dead even. He was very surprised with my car, and so was I. BTW I have a 1995 auto, and at the time the only performance mod I had as a Place Racing CAI. So go for it, just don't bet your first born

 

i don't know whose gonna win but i do know the gsx are turbo and all wheel drive...something to think about

 

The key to the race is distance. Do not race him light to to light he will beat you. I was able to pull him in at about 60mph. If you are going to race him make sure its on the Highway or a place that you can hit triple digits.
He will instantly jump ahead of you 1 to 2 cars lead depending how much you spin your tires. Trust me it can be done and guys have a little faith in your car.
