I've been scouring the web all day and I can't seem to find any information on the Cefiro and the few sites I've found are all in Japanese and being a proud American, I'm too stupid to speak or understand Japanese. Anybody know what countries these are availible in, what options they had, how much they cost, any performance stats, anything, I'm desperate. I want to see if I could get the engine internals from the turbo Cefiro later when I boost and try and find out if the Cams are adaptable to the Maxima. I really want to know all there is about this thing. And Dammit Cheston, get that learn how to speak Japanese How-To up already!

the Cefiro has the same engine as the third Gen Maxima and the skyline.. the VG30DE and the RB26DETT

not the 4th gen.. now like i told you on the mailling list.. stop asking engine swap questions..

Hahahahaha! No definetly not.

The A31 Cefiro put power to the rear wheels via a RB25DET engine, an RB20DET engine or something like that. There has never been a RB26DETT in a Cefiro from the factory. The A32(4th gen) and A33(5th gen) I30 wanna be cars had the option of a VQ20DE, a VQ30DE engine, or a Neo engine(I think). You're a very funny guy, Sprint

PM Sycefiro on the org. Aside from the i30 front end conversion on his 4th gen Max and importing Cefiro parts for us, he's done quite a bit of Cefiro research and knows the Cefiro inside out.

just to let some of u guys/gals know, the cefiro in taiwan is not from japan.. it's assembled here on this dinky island. many parts are manufactured here, maybe the engine and the chassis is imported, but the rest is definately from taiwan, that's why parts here are darn cheap for cefiros.. and maxima sales did real bad in taiwan due to import tax (maxima was from japan, all built there) so for around the same price, you could get a cefiro instead of a maxima, same motor and all so why not go for the higher end? it was all a marketing strategy/scam that didnt' go to well. they thought if they first introed the maxima with the new improved vq30de, many taiwanese salary men would buy it over the slower odler cefiro. many know that the current gen i30/cefiro was due a few months after the maxima, with the vq30de also as an option and pricing would be around the same, i think if not cheaper.. so th emaxima didn't sell and they wont be importing the 5.5gen maxima to tiawna anymore.. a few 3rd gens are spotted here every now and then but those are all private imports..

Thanks for the help guys (except you Sprint... and when the heck did you tell me that?) but I'm looking for info on the VQ30DET engine. I really thought this was availible in the Cefiro, but I just found out it's in the "Gloria." Don't know what that's all about but I saw some pics of it today. Couldn't read any of the text because it was in JAPANESE! Stupid america.... can't teach useful languages in school... I would want all the internals and what not for boosting. Trying to find out stats on the engine, see if it would be possible, maybe get some part numbers for ordering. I'm sure I could get the pistons, rods, and rings and that they would fit but I want to know if I could swap the cams too.

See sprint? You're wrong. I don't want to swap my engine (look at poor Mardi Gras, working over a week now and still nothing...) I just want to beef it up when I get my Supercharger this Spring.
