About the torque converter locking on the dyno. The deal is for my 93auto and moms 98Altima se auto....
In 3rd gear WOT with the o/d on the car will just be wot in 3rd. In 3rd gear WOT with the o/d OFF the car WILL lock the torque converter. The ecu/tcu says "hmm....3rd gear is the last gear...lock up the t/c"
If you go to wot in my car at say 75, so I know its in 3rd, it will start to gain speed, but if i click the o/d off as its in 3rd at WOT the revs will drop like 200 or so telling me its locking. Also....when you DO want to shift to 4th and start letting of the gas....the rpms will go UP when you click the o/d on and THEN shift to 4th.
So to sum it up
3rd WOT o/d off.....t/c locked.
3rd WOT o/d on......t/c unlocked.
