I am just wondering what kind of tire shine everybody uses and how you like it,i use Meguiar's tire gel and like it alot.I want to try that other Meguiar's (gold class maybe)tire shine that is out but have not yet.Meguiar's gold class trim detailer is very good also, could this be used on the 4th gen black strips between the doors or just use some kind of wax

I use Meguires as well .. but was actually thinking of using s/t cheaper from now on ... logic?
Well ... sure it lasts ... as they claimed it would .. which is quite impressive .. but ... the rest of my car doesn't ... I have a black max & I have 2 wash it at least once a week ... so .. it's useless using an expensive tire gel that lasts for 2 or 3 when I have to reapply it everytime I wash my car ... my 2 cents worth

the turtle wax one doesn't as long as you let it dry on the tires...

Don't put too much on. The bottle says its good for at least 8 applications, I am easily going to get double that.
The other thing you can try is wiping it down to try to remove some excess.

Good old ArmorAll, heres a trick if you guys want your tires to stay black, wash your car, don't put any amorall on the tires, wait till you get home at night, soak the tire in armorall till the tire is almost white, get up the next day, wipe the tire off with a dry sponge and your tires will look unreal. Try it and you will see what I mean, and Sprint very little will spot on the side of the car, because you let it soak for so long

oh, and about that post talking about the armourall... BE CAREFUL! many of you that have nice aftermarket rims will be disappointed when your wheel finish starts corroding

Eimann Fabrik Black Opal Dressing available at properautocare.com is about the best stuff on the planet. I used to use the turtle wax stuff until I found this. Nothing compares to it, except a new product porsche came out with but its questionable. Its $12.95 for 32oz. but worth it all the way.
