Dropping out 222 and putting in 255?

I was thinking about this the other day. Could a 5th Gen owner of a 2000-2001 Maxima put a 255 2002 engine in his or her car? I do not own one, but I figured that no one has asked this before. Also, could the 2002 6-speed be put in a 2000-2001 5-speed manual? Just wondering. Thanks all.
