Metallic substrate catallytic converters...
#1
I've been browsing around to see what kinds of high flow catallytic converters are available out there and came across something I didn't know: there are metallic substrate catallytic converters and they are better than ceramic substrate ones.
If you go to http://www.metalsubstrate.com/frame.htm
then go to "Metallic Advantage" and click on "Metallic Substrates Reduce Back Pressure" you will know what I mean.
So based on this a metallic substrate high flow cat would be better than the stock CAT or even a RT high flow cat which has ceramic substrate.
I've searched around a little and was not able to find a manufacturer that makes aftermarket metallic substrate cats cats for the US market. I was wondering if anyone here knows if this type of cat is made for the US and in a size that will fit our cars?
Most of the stuff I found was for disel or the European markets.
