Hi all, I'm Jay from Chicago. I'm currently 14 and on my way to get on the mean streets of Chicago. My dad bought a 1997 Burgundy (Purplish) GXE a couple years back. Just recently my mom bought a Brand New Super Black 2002 SE. It's pretty funny since my mom has the better ride than my dad. Anyway, you guessed it, I saw the Maxima in fast and furious and I was like oh sweet, and went bragging off to my friends about it. All my friends were like "Maxima, it's a family car just like the Civic". And I know the Maximas are just more than family cars. So now I have a choice, well the actual decision isn't gonna be made until I can drive but I wanna get the feeling of "Yeah, there's my car right there". My dad has 75000 miles on his Maxima but I hear Maximas can go over 200000 miles and still run fine. I'm not sure which Maxima to take, or I can buy my own Maxima, hehe, Is there room for 3 in that bed? Anyway, I know there are alot more mods out there for the 4th gen Maxima then the 5th. I don't know, most of my friends would tell me to take the newer car but I need input from you guys first. Thanx alot and I'm looking forward to the Maxima community.

Ok, call me crazy but your are actualy considering a 97 maxima with 75K miles over a 2002 Maxima? Wow, I wish I had that desision to make free of charge. The 2002 Max is way better then any 4ht gen maxima, I like it a bit more then 2000-2001 max's too. Who can pass up a 255HP{HID's} engine and better looks when compared to a 190 HP old body style car? Call me crazy but thats what I think and I am sticking to it . BTW I love my 95 max..

Dont take this the wrong way...

I wouldnt worry about this right now. Wait till your 16, then worry. Then be quiet and consider yourself lucky if they give you either one.
