Went to dyno my car today and the first two runs were similar. The better of the two gave 277.7HP/260.1Torque as seen below.

For the third run, I asked the guy to run though all the gears and I don't believe he did the 5th. Anyway, there's a spike in the middle of the run which gives 299.7HP/300.5Torque.

Interpretations? Should I have ran in 3rd gear?

The mods are 99SE,SC,BudgetY,Carsound cat,GReddy catback running on stock SE rims and tires.

I believe that a correct dyno on your tranny would be in 4th grea, the gear that is closest to 1:1. As for the blip, it happens. Why?

I don't think you can get an accurate dyno by going through the gears. For example, on that dyno, it appears as if you have only about 120 hp in first gear. As for the blip, there are really 2 on your graph.

The first is the one you refer to and that is a result of the shift and it occurred each time the vehicle was shifted. It is a result of engaging the clutch.

the second blip is the one you get at fuel cut on these cars. That can be seen at the end of the single gear run you used. In N/A cars, peak hp is at red-line and the blip artificially inflates peak hp.

As for the best gear, it is my understanding that third is the most accurate since 4th is a bit of an overdrive gear. If I recall correctly, in 3rd you will get a bit higher hp numbers but in 4th you will get a bit higher torque numbers. There has been some debate on the forum regarding which is better but I believe that most of us have dyno'd in third.

I am running 3.33". The dyno that was used also had the air/fuel readings and I am running very well on all RPM's. In fact, above 5.5k rpm, I am running rich. The person who dyno'd the car commented that I don't need to do anything as far as the air/fuel goes. In fact, I can go little leaner in the mid portions of my RPM. I don't believe I will go any smaller than what I have. These pulleys are a real pain in the *** to take out.
