I went to a local shop, they got a pair of used (a year or 2 old.. but awesome condition) 18x7.5" Volk Racing AV3's for $1000 (no tires). They're awesome rims... i'd buy em but I loooove chrome and they're alloys. What do you guys think?

those are nice rims. chrome is nice too. chrome is more for show, ehhh bling bling, the volk racings are more sporty. but those who know about volk wheels will think bling bling too

I see two problems with AV3

7.5" is too narrow. You will never able to fit a big brake kit. 18" AV3 will look smaller than your 18" Momo Arrow.

Go with the Volk's. IMHO, alloy looks better than chrom, plus you'll get better acceleration from the Volks!

1MAX2NV was right as far as size... they look REALLY small in real life...when i read 18" inside of the rim i was like really suprised. I think one of my friends wants em for his 240sx so if he gets em i'll put em on my car and take some pics

What shop in NJ?

If your friend does not get them, i'd be seriously interested. Thanks!

well here's a few pros and cons.

1. 1000 bucks for those wheels is a steal, if they're mint like you said. I just recently sold mine for 1300 w/ tires, and mine were certainly not mint.

2. If you're into the import scene, you know everyone likes a volk wheel. No offense, but to me Momo and Volk are not in the same catagory.

3. The av3's are far far stronger than your present wheel.

4. Someone mentioned car being faster w/ volks. Well the av3 is not a super light wheel, and it weights probably 27lb per rim. Your momo's are close I'm sure, but probably lighter!

5. Yes the off set is not good for big brakes. Are you planning on doing big brakes. I can tell you from personal experience that it will not fit over the fast brake wilwood kit.

Go w/ volks. You won't regret it. It looked good on my max. I'm sure it will on yours. Once you get over the how the rim visually looks smaller, you appretiate how the thick spokes make the car look muscular.

I had to buy new wheels because of the high off set on my AV3's. My new volk gtp's are nice, but I really liked how the AV3's looked better.

Forget everyone elses opinion. Ultimately Go w/ what you like.

Just look at my sig...av3 all the way...they take all the banging you can give them look great arnt that heavy and anybody that knows wheels know's there better than momo's.
Get a nice set of tires for the av3's and your set.

Funny how the car looks so perfect on 19"s. It's like Maximas were designed for them.
