Well, I live in Northern Canada and the time is near where I must sadly park my Maxima for the winter. Since its going to be up on blocks anyway, I figured now might be as good a time as any to get rid of the factory wheels in favor of the Volk AV3's I've been eyeing.

The setup is of course off my 2000 SE. I would like to sell the tires and rims together as I have no use for the tires either. By the time I park the vehicle in a few weeks I would estimate having about 1000 miles on the vehicle, so the stuff is essentially new.

Now for the interesting part....the price. I haven't really decided to be honest. Selling all my stuff prolly won't even pay for two of the Volks since they are nasty expensive. I have no use for the factory stuff since its just gonna sit. Having said that I'm not going to give them away either. I think I'll just leave it that they are for sale and see if someone makes a reasonable offer. And believe me I am reasonable on this issue.

Of course there are always issues buying stuff online, especially in an arrangement such as this. Here is what I can offer. I can find out the weight of each tire/rim combo tomorrow as they're coming off to install the Eibachs. Then you can figure out the shipping for yourselves. I am selling the stuff through my company, so if someone is interested I can accept payment by Visa or Mastercard so that you immediately have proof that a transaction occured, and don't have to worry about never seeing your money again. Any other concerns can be sorted out between myself and anyone interested. Its really a pretty straightforward deal. Noone is going to get the shaft on this one.

Anyway, if anyone is interested let me know. They should be available in about two weeks.

LOL.....silly Americans. I live in northern Alberta. It gets so cold up here in the winter that your seats actually freeze rock hard some mornings and you get a flat spot on your tires when they are parked overnight and freeze. Imagine driving down the street first thing in the morning going "bump, bump, bump" down the road. Its like driving over rumble strips for the first few minutes. If you park a vehicle over the winter on its tires, come Spring they will be all cracked and you'll be buying a new set. Hope this helps =P

Oh yeah, I get around during the winter in a fully-restored '77 Bronco. Way cooler ride than my Maxima....but not as fast.

Ack!!!

I hate to do this, but I may have to remove my offer to sell my tires/rims. I have had some excellent conversations via email with a half dozen or so people, two surprisingly close to me. But after seeing the setup on my lowered SE (Eibachs installed Friday), I'm not sure if the money wouldn't be better spent on other mods. I could get the Stillen Big Brake System for the price of the new wheels. Swapping to the Volks was never a matter of cosmetics, but simply a way to fit some 265/275 tires underneath to handle the performance upgrades. Any thoughts? I'm still in the "development" stage of planning the mods to my car. But basically I am getting the best of everything, and a quick tally suggests the HP to total over 350. Maybe I should just smoke the skinnier factory tires instead of the trannsmission.
