I got new tires coming this weekend.. 225/45's finally woohoo
I have two questions..
1. first of all, I have two dunlop sport w10's 215/40's w/ about 90-95% tread... should I try and sell them (for how much) or should I rotate them to the front and do MASSSSIVE burnouts and record them ? sounds like a waste, but if I cant sell them for anything...
2. when I get my new ones, I need them mounted on my rims of course, but do I need them balance and aligned, or just balanced, or what ?
I have two questions..

1) if you feel like blowning money away doing burnouts... go ahead... but i say sell the tires..30-50% of original cost to try to sell the tires is a good start point.
2) ok i just went through this..
you need to get the old tires removed from the rims... the cheapest i found in my area was 6.99 per tire... whoa..
i was quoted as high as $15
next you need to have the tires mounted and balanced... once again... after tons a phone calls to every tire place in my area.. i found a place that would do it for 13.99 a tire. the highest was $22
Some places charge for valve stems.. i went and bought my own. they are shorter than the normal rubber ones.
next is aligment...
every time you get tires you should get an aligment. it was $43+ tax for me.. i have seen as high as $69..
is your car lowered?
if so ask the shop about your car.. 5 places could not do my car cause they could not get the car on the ramp..
i had to find a place that had a pit to work from..
hope this helps...

thanks for all the info, yes i am lowered, and it has alreayd been a pain.. the shops refer me to the ghetto to have my car aligned at the "lowrider emporium" or whatever... geez... haha
