I noticed that my friend's plymouth voyager will roll forward (like if the car were in neutral) when the car is put into reverse in a downhill slope. I know there has to be something wrong, since all cars I've seen will stop in reverse (without braking)on a hill. How serious is this problem??
On the freeway the car will sometimes hesitate to downshift making the car jerk. Otherwise, there are not other major issues.

thanks

That's normal. The jerking on the highway isn't. Chrysler made an 'Ultradrive' tranny that was HORRIBLE, in the mid '90s. I guarantee its normal for those trannys.
