what is bhp? what does it stand for?

what is bhp? what does it stand for?

new lambo will have 620-bhp... i see this "bhp" all the time.. can anyone tell me what it stands for?

hp just like the maxima has 190bhp, dont cofuse this with hp at the wheels, thats where it counts

BHP = brake horsepower

It is simply a method used by manufacturers to measure horsepower, not at the wheels, but rather at the crankshaft (before drivetrain losses).

Don't confuse bhp with rwhp (rear wheel horsepower) or fwhp (front wheel horsepower). RWHP and FWHP represent the actual power that gets put to the ground after drivetrain losses (typically 20% less than crankshaft horsepower).

but the bottom line- maxima dosent have enough of it
