Test drove the altima today.
I love the seats. Wow.
I don't like how high they are, but very comfy.
Anyways, I test drove the 3.5 auto, and it's pretty fast, but it didn't seem as fast as my maxima becuase of the high view point, and how smooth it was. Anyways, if I was to get a new car now, that would be the one. Although with all the options it's starting to scrape acura tl territory. Not sure how much they really sell for, because I didn't want to buy one, so I didn't talk about the price.
But I think they'll sell fine. I already see lotsof camrys around, and still waiting to see an altima on the road.

It's same thing with Q45. You know it's for sale, but I only seen 2 in South Bay.
I think with Camry, people buy it on previous reputation, so they hit the ground running. But Altima, people will see a few of them on the road, and only then figure out it's a different type of car then it was before, so it will take time for sales to ramp up.
One thing I didn't like about the Altima is the inside of the doors. the black plastic was kinda cheesy, and that silver plastic door handle was downright cheap looking. The dash looked nice though.

You're right. The new Altima has been on sale just as long as the new Camry, but here in the SF Bay Area, I have yet to see a new Altima, but I've seen dozens of new Camrys on the streets.

I test drove the 2002 Altima and 2002 Maxima back to back, both were auto with the 3.5. The comparison was very close. The Maxima felt a little quicker and a little more compliant ride. The Altima was a little stiffer.
One thing I did not like about the Altima was the interior door trim for front driver and passenger, seemed a little plain jane. My choice is still for the Maxima, but I think alot of people will buy the Altima for the lower price.
