I have head lenses that look like ****! Can the be re-cleared, using light sand paper and a heat gun?

Yah I know what you mean, my headlamps look like crap and are fogged over pretty badly. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of my cool blues and i've tried scrubbing them but the 98 headlight lenses are plastic. The more I scrub, the worse they get

try Mothers plastic polish, i use it on my 99 style headlights and they shine newer than the day i got them. I think they even make glass polish as well, try it out!

The compund is cerium oxide and it uses a wool wheel that works on a power drill. I have not yet picked it up . ~$20.

If the lense is discolored from the inside, this is from the gas inside the lense being exchanged often (alot of night driving) and then the dirty particles being baked on. You can clean them but ofcourse they would need to be removed to get in their and do a good job.

I was told on a ford forum(we all know how bad fords are for this) that a really light buffing compound and a variable speed buffer will do it.
