State laws regarding mods
I'm just curious to find out what everyones state laws are regarding modifications to your car. Where I live in Hawaii, we have probably the worst law of all called Recon. Anyone in the state of Hawaii who makes any modification to there car (rims, tint, drop, kit, exhaust, etc.) you have to bring your car to an inspection station and if they deem your car safe for the roads, they give you this sticker that you have to display on the bumper of your car. Nine times out of ten, the people who work at the recon station don't know jack about cars and what mods are considered legal or not. They make it so hard out here to mod your car and if you ever get pulled over and get busted for no recon, all kinds of fines are coming your way. Does anyone else out there have any state laws that are as stupid as this? Please post away!

According to a friend of mine at the California Highway Patrol, they are going to carry in limited numbers a portable smog machine so if you are caught say, racing with a bunch of cars every single car goes through this portable machine to see if it passes smog or not. If your car is "riced out" with stickers all over the place and so fourth they will tag you and put your car on this machine while you are being pulled over at the side of the road. CHP

Hmmm the only thing I can think of that would be concidered illegal to have on your ride in the State of Georgia, would be the clear lights. But only if you don't have the red bulbs... Then will pull you over.
But if anyone else from Georgia knows any others.. Let me know before I get pulled over.
