I think we'll probably setup a smaller midwest meet for all the folks who don't want to drive 1400-1800 miles for Maxus. Since the Cali guys have Stillen's Maxima day, I don't quite understand why the meet should be over on the west coast. There's pretty much only one place west of Colorado that actually has a decent Maxima community....Cali. To have Maxus geared towards one state and a small portion of the Maxima community doesn't seem quite right to me.

The Midwest Maxus meet will be open to everyone. Where we have it depends on a lot of things. I'd think either Dallas or Kansas City. In Kansas City, we could easily setup a dyno runs and track (1/4 mile and autocross). The car show could held at a Winsteads/Sonic drive-thru and get lots of people to come see. Many of larger Chevy/Mustang/Harley clubs do shows at Winsteads etc because they reserve them 200+ spaces plus the restrauants are off of main streets for a good show.

In Kansas City and surrounding areas within 80 miles, we have well over 20 Maximas (12 of which attended a small meet I put on at my house). Within 500 miles we have about 80 Maximas. See what I'm getting at?

its something about the west coast. it makes me wanna ride! oh excuse me. keep maxus in nv. it's easily attendable by people from texas, colo, ariz, cali, and whatever other states are in the middle of the country. but i can understand if you midwest country boys want your own meet. i mean, its a midwest thang!!! ok i'll shut up now...

Cheers to that....there's more 'small town' boys and girls in middle america that can't muster the presence to do jack on their own so something HUGE and relatively close to us would be great. We've got Chi-town and Cincy within 8 hours of KC plus MI, MN, KY, TN boys/girls that would be more prone to drive within a day instead of two.

Just my thoughts...I love the KC idea, I'd even like a Denver idea.

Honestly, I think we'd get the largest turnout in Dallas. It's more centralized so people from a lot more states would be able to attend. Besides, who says you can't have one in each area at once? Just have one on the east, west and central all at the same time. It's not all together but we'd all have pics the same day, make it a national event for people who can't drive all that far.

Nah, the driving time from San Diego to Seattle says 19 hours, and I made it in 15, so I'm sure I could do it, just need to have the ol' radar detector on and eyes peeled for the Fuzz...
