Ok, I see quite a few people that are having trouble fitting aftermarket speakers in the front door panels. Im going to try to fabricate ( using a fiberglass template ) some type of speaker pod to accomadate some of the aftermarket 6 1/2 and 5x8 or 6x9 speakers. I have built some wood frames for my own and i dont think it would be too hard to make it in fiberglass and then have it as a mould to remake . Are the holes in the doors the same in all maximas? I have a 3rd gen w/bose and mine was easy. I could do it for the cost of material and shipping. If someone lives near i could make one for a 4th / 5th generation so see. What do ya think? Could this help someone out?
