The guy is a co-worker of mine (cool peeps) and he is dieing to race my GXE. He has a catback and cold air and a chip. I'll race anyone and I have even raced Sprintmax. The Legend isn't of the S series and I am confident I can get out ahead early but do you guys think I am wasting my time on this race?

Race him for some chinese food. Make him pay dearly.

He lives in Fall River but I am wondering if we may be able to get to the Pike before it gets to cold. I think he runs races on RT 24.

There are some places for racing and hanging out down on RTE. 24 Some of the places I've heard about are Brockton West Gate Mall and New Bedford. Give it a try and see if you can take him locally instead of the Pike. We have better food in MA than CT. I am sure you should be able to take him without too much trouble.

The CL-S is a waste of my time. I lost to one at Maxus and it was a 5 speed.

Why don't you get some bolt-ons, like CAI and a y-pipe? That will improve your 1/4 time. Then save up for recalibrated VB and maybe a 50 shot nitrous.

My cousin just bought a 2001 V70 Wagon. He didn't get the turbo.

My mom doesn't have turbo in her S70 either. She didn't want to pay extra, I guess she has no need for speed

WAS a sedan. Somebody sideswiped it while it was parked. Now he might get an Accord.

I own a coupe, with just exhaust and intake, I can keep up with the Maxima all the way. I can pass a Maxima if I can get into 3 gear. I have a 94 Legend 6 speed coupe.

The 6 speed would beat me with and I don't have mods. I was really looking forward to this race because he was also auto. He also wanted to race me because he wanted to see what the Max really had. We work together so he would talk junk at work (all in fun and competition).

I also told him not to sleep on the 4th Gen 5Speed. I showed him theblue's video of his 14.2 1/4 run and in that race he took out a z28. He now believes that the Max is a worthy competitor, even with its "so called" 190hp.

No no, don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for the Max. I have owned one myself, an 87 and I loved it. Before I bought my Legend I wanted a new 2001 MAX SE, but I found a Legend 6 speed, I couldn't pass that up.
