Hi Friends

I am shopping for a maxima gle . I got a deal from the dealer for 25900 + Taxes . The car is a maxima 2000 GLE with sunroof , traction control , meridian edition , floor mats , splash guards ,SUNROOF WIND DEFLECTOR .

Is it a GOOD DEAL or what should be the good deal?

Help awaited ASAP...

if i would have a choice to buy my max again i would buy the se or the gxe. don't get the bose system. it would be hard to upgrade if u choose to. u can get an se with all the option of the gle and then some. and get a stick. gxe and se are way cheaper unless u get a fully loaded se then it cost way more then the gle. they all have same engine so really wouldn't matter. if u r going to do some mod, then think of what u will mod and don't get a high dollar option for it. just my two pennies. but really, do take consideration as to what u will mod so u don't spend all that money when ur gonna replace it anyway. i wouldn't spend more than 25k on a max.

 

go to carpoint.com and price it. Try to get as close to invoice as you can. -

 

I would ask the dealer for the invoice and offer $500 over. They should take it!

basically the max is in higher demand in some part of the country. in the south, thats a good deal. On the west coast or up in the northeast, that is average to kinda high (but not more than 500-750 higher).

I like the GLE, I like the ride and features. I like the BOSE because its decent sound without worrying about theft.

 

If you wait till the end of the month you may be able to buy it @ invoice. Dealers are always more willing to take a slim deal at the end of the month.

 

I just went to http://www.edmund.com for you and looked at there pricing and the True market value {TMV}for the GLE with your options including destination fees is $25,520.Also I do not believe there is a Meridean package for a 2000 GLE.Just my opinion but I would buy a base model GXE for the going price of $19,585 and then get all the option like leather and bose etc. from a junkyard for around 2 grand excluding traction control.This would bring it to a grand total of around $21,500.Then you would have saved 5 grand and have the exact same car and you would have lots of money to buy some real nice mods or what ever.Check out http://www.car-part.com for junk yard parts and prices good luck.
