i never get good gas mileage on mine... i floor it almost every time

 

I used to have a 95 Auto gxe with about 190k miles. Best I saw was 29.5mpg driving about 70% highway.

This was driving at 2k rpms and under. I had just cleaned tb, iacv, and soaked upper intake manifold in acetone to get the crap out.

 

Mine's a 4th gen. ('95) with 5-speed and I'd say 24 is about right, depending on where you live and how you drive. I try to stay steady and fluid throughout my powerband when I drive. Worst averages I've seen on mine is 22.1 and the best being 29.8 MPG.

For the type of car it is, I don't think it's too bad.

 

31 doing 80%/20% high/city I dont know what you guys are talking about if you have that bad of milage what kind of mods do you have? and is your fuel air filter clean? or your TB, IM. I drive a 96 5spd with 129K
