Modded LS1 vs SC Max in Dallas
I'm not a member but I love reading the stories (a lot of far fetched ones at that...not all) over at supraforums.com I saw this post:

I realize that SC Max are quick but to go up against a modded LS1 seems crazy! There are some fast Max down in Texas fo' sho'! I wonder if the guy who posted has the video?

You guys don't have it right, I raced 2 modded LS1 SS's, a GTP, 2 Supra T's and a 96-99' Cobra on the way home. The GTP was an easy kill. I really didn't even want to run him. I had all the Supras behind me and they all wanted to just see how bad I'd kill him. I first raced a 97' Supra TT 6-sp with intake, hard pipes and exhaust(327 rwhp). I beat him from 1 to 3.5 car lengths the 5 times we raced. Chris who was taping was in one of the Supras taping Andi vs. the 911 TT and didn't get any of those races.
I then ran a silver SS with just intake mods(317 rwhp). In second gear where we started we were very even. When he shifted to third, he started to pull up. At the top of third I was pulling over him. In 4th he outpulled me. I was very shocked at how strong his 4th gear was. I have beaten 7 LS1's including an 01' Vette convertable, but his car was just stronger in 4th.
The other SS has a lot more mods. Everyone is guessing he now pushing 350-360 rwhp. Before his last mods he dynoed in the 330's. We didn't set up ahead of time to run. I now had Chris in my car taping. We taped a run with the SS and 2 BPU Supras. He was surprised at how close I was behind him while they were running, so he backed off a little and I came up to run. I held him a gear and then he pulled me. We set up for a second run and he jumper me bad. He took off before I did the 3rd honk. Jimmy in his BPU Supra was on the left and took off when I honked. He didn't catch the SS until about 130 mph when they had to hit the brakes for traffic.
Just to show everyone this is real, here is a link to the videos from that night. Enjoy...

The 911 is a 996 twin turbo. It is brand new, less than 2 weeks old. It even has a temporary plate on it. Right now its stock, but don't expect it to stay that way. The owner, AJ, hung out with us all night. He is a really nice guy. He got an E55 MB for his wife and we are going to do a race in the E55 soon.

That 911 was stock? Whoa! It is going to be crazy when he mods that thing out! Is the Benz you are going to run stock as well or has he gone over and above AMG? That is going to be an awesome video for sure! Good luck!

Loren, good runs. I ran my friends 00 Camaro z28-a4 from a 2nd gear roll and I had him for about oh, 3 seconds while his tranny downshifted. After that he was gone

Good job Loren, i see you Max is still running stronger than ever. BTW i have a modded WS6 kill under my belt, unfortunately it was against one of my own teammates. I had him out the gates by about half a car and it was constant all the way up to 110 or so. we raced from a standing start btw. Also, later on that week me and my teammate in the WS6 were following each other on the highway, and a C5 Vert pulls up next to him and they both down it a gear and so do i (i was behind them at this point). from 70-120 or so, no one was gaining on each other (although i started a couple car lengths back). pretty awesome race. just glad i hung with a C5
