How many people are selling their cars?

Is it just me or is most the people here selling their cars and getting either a new Maxima or a new Altima?

My logic is I might as well keep my car and keep going on it, no matter how much I hate it, cause I've already taken the huge hit on depreciation.

i bought mine from my mother for 7500, and i'm gonna sell it for more than that. the only money i lose is on the mods i bought. which was around a 2K hit.

Hey if you need beige leather I got a kit I won at Maxus 2001. Its not beige, but a few shades darker, almost brown but it matches. My car already got leather. I gotta fund my current project. Still havent thought about how much I'm selling it for but this is just throwing the idea out there.

????? Real leather? Got pics? It's from maxus 2001? Leatherseats.com? door inserts? New? how much? PM me. again, got pics? thanks

Oh yea, I'm not selling my car, and don't plan to until I have a serious need for money which I already do but I can live with it for now.. Anyways, I just got the car and I like it, it gets me around and it's a pleasure to drive. If I do sell it, I will downgrade to a 95-96 Max. I'm sticking with Maximas until I can afford a BMW or a Lexus or until gas prices go up so high I'll need to buy a Honda Insight.

Maybe...possibly..

I'm probably going to sell my 96 SE in the next yera or so. Probably just get a crappy bug or deluxe bus and work on it myself. So if anyone out there is going to want a white 96 SE 5-spd with 100K on it come June....let me know

I'm trying to sell mine also in hopes of getting a new 6sp SE next year. If I don't sell it sometime next spring, then I'll keep it forever.

I'll be buying the...........

2002 SE 6-spd prolly around June or July of 02. After all of the hype is over with. I will not be trading my 98 GXE, its paid for and it will replace my 95 sentra as my daily driven beater and maybe finally get a tranny swap and some bolt-ons. The 95 sentra will move to 3rd string and will be the car that I experiment on, parts are cheap and plentiful, the ECU has already been cracked and i've always wanted to learn more about engine rebuilds and turbos. Hopefully, that knowledge will be useful for my Maximas.

Where are you all getting the money to go purchase a new car. Are you financing them? I make great money for my age and have 2 years left to pay on my 98 SE, which I will drive the wheels off of. If I have to slave to make these payments for five years, I am keeping this car and saving for my BMW for the next five years.

I guess none of you are married. Marriage = NO MONEY FOR YOU!

I would love a new 6 speed max or BMW, but it is not in the cards right now. Happy buying

If the right offer comes along, I will sell and grab a 2k2 6-speed.

I kind of feel your pain, i'm married also which is why my max remains for the most part stock. If I really want something, I always start a fund, $10 here $100 there whenever I have extra $$. I might not be the 1st on the block to get anything but I can honestly say that if I really want it, I get it.

I've wanted a new car for a long time (past year), but it is really hard for me to get rid of such a stylish and reliable car. For me, the Max has treated me really well and is capable of lower 14s with minimal mods. I really can't ask for more and really don't consider the new Maxima nor Altima to be a serious threat in performance. I have yet to face a Maxima that is nearly as quick as mine (not trying to brag). However, I did decide that I will be getting a good condition 90-93 5.0 Mustang or (if I can swing the money) a 87 Buick Grand National to quinch my thrist for real speed. I'll have a quick 4-door, a 12 second weekend car, and my wife's extremely sweet silver Legacy GT wagon. Thank God she's all for my car habit. Now that I'm keeping the Max, that 5th gen intake manifold is gonna happen DAMMIT!!!

I too wish I could sell my car and get an used 4th gen 5spd. That way, I could just basically swap all the mods over. Of course, ideally, I really want to buy a M3 or S4.
