Another usless question.....can I fail an inspection for

A bad ball joint? Its not that bad....but it clunks under certain conditions.

My old Volvo actually failed inspection for a bad ball joint. It really depends on where you take the car for inspection.

If its noticable when they shake your wheels, you'll fail. They do that to listen for loose steering components.
