How do you guys afford all these mods. I see some of you guys with **** that would take me years to save up for? How do you guys do it. lol

I think most of the people on here with serious mods have jobs. Yep, I'm sure they have jobs. Work brings money. Money brings mods. So goes the circle of life.

 

 

ask me the last time i saw a big mac???? i have been sleeping in my car. The title lives in a maxima would REALLY apply to me. i can cook pigeon 37 ways. i go grocey shopping to eat the free samples.

Try graduating college and getting kick a$$ paying job. You can afford anything then.
If I wasn't going to buy a house, I'd have a supercharger. But the house is the more sensible thing to buy.

 

But the less you eat, the faster the max is with you in it

I noticed the wide variety of people at the Woodbury meet. It's cool that something like the Max can bring all different types of people from all different walks of life together in a constructive way...now if everyone drove a Max...would we have world peace ?

I spend about 2-3% of what I make in mods for my car. I don't buy things unless I've got the cash to buy it (ie never charge it). I'm 27 and live Kansas City, Kansas. My wife and I have combined income of roughly $73K a year. Both our cars are paid for and our only payment is our house. We save and invest a lot. We could be living in a much bigger house and I could be driving a MUCH nicer car. BUT what's the fun in that? Why live paycheck to paycheck? I like to modify my cars and if I spent all money paying for the thing, I couldn't toy with it. I like being able to go out and get what I want and not worry about it.

all that you need to know is that I'm 18 and every damn thing i have i pretty much 'earned' it including the 19" $5000 Blitz rims!! (they are worth ~5000 )

Is it just me, or do all significant others whine MUCHO about us guys putting money into our cars? Every time I ask "What do you think about these rims? Do you think I should get HID? What car should I get next?", she ignores me

 

i dropped $7000.00 on my car last week alone..

i've probably spent a total of 10-12g's on my car!!! It comes from a platinum plus visa.. and i am 19.. also a graphic design student in college..

let's see...the only money i spend besides on the car is basically gas and like $5 towards food each week...so i spend about $25-30 a week...and the rest goes into savings to buy car parts

I'm 18, second maxima, first one lost in a unfortunate accident, my income is roughly 10g's a year, i am in my first year of college and i love it, Money comes from my job & allowance, i save a lot. Probably spent 6k on my old maxima alone. Wait till this one is done all perty.

 

I spend about 30-50% on my max{s}. At times I spend 120% though , I am going to try to control my spending on my new max though. I still want another part time job, that way I could do anything I want to my car!

 

oh yea i dont drink anymore, i dont have a gf (she ate all my money b4 i could spend it on my max ...about ~4gz before she was done chompin )
i am old which means i dont hang out so much as i used to, spend alot of time talkin on the phone with friends, no time to go out, jus chillin instead of wasting $$$ clubbing every weekend (believe me i did that for about 4 years)

but ya kno what? i'm still po' no $$$ to my name! =)

yeah I'm a college **** too.....and between my low budget *** retail job, my girl and minor bills...my Max gets about 25-30% of my paycheck for mods/minor service, etc. this week, $100 for fuel system cleaning, $40 for trans fluid D&F, $30 for amp wiring kit(for new amp), and $60-80 for new brakes....geeeez, in a way my car is like having second girlfriend!(j/k)

 

I'm 21, party every weekend, don't have a job, dropped out of school...you figure it out...

I wish I could make $16 dollars an hour, damn that would be a lot to me, and whoever posted that they make that much acted like it wasnt much -->thats for how much I dont make

 

IBM gives out third shift jobs to watch servers for $30/$35 an hour.. all you do is sit there and make sure the network is fine.. thats it.. i wanted to do it but i couldn't do the two jobs.. so they didn't give it to me.. but its a fairly easy job.. even secretaries are making more than $16 now..

 

 

i do have a GF, i go to school at the air force academy...i only get paid around $400 a month with 6 bills to pay every month. what do you think?

You obviously haven't realized that most of these guys ***** all day long... that's where they get their money.
