Most sirens take a 'constant' 12V... they cycle their 'sounds' automatically... no need to pulse the 12V to them...

hmm..do the maximas stock alrams have a wire that sends a constant pos or neg signal when triggered? i'd like to set up a shock sensor /w a siren for my max. it'd be like 20$ and a lot cheaper than a real alarm

There's a lot of weakness to the factory alarm but if you really want to...

You can add a shock sensor... Look for Russ's post on how to do it.

Why not just buy a set of air horns (about $25) and splice them into the horn... much louder and you can use it with the horn too!

OEM outputs pulse +12V. It's possible to turn a pulse +12V to a constant 12V with relays. I got lazy and just installed air horns.

Does anyone know where to get a doulble shock sensor for Viper alarm or AKA for DEI product?
Also, anyone knows how to add second siren and how to setup backup batteries for them? Where can I find help forum specifically for alarm help or quality DEI alarm parts on the internet? Many thanks in advance!

I don't know if the DEIs usea negative triggeror pos trigger, but here's a shock sensor and a proxy sensor:
