Lived in Europe and had a 97 Nissan Primera GT. Moved to the States recently and got a 98 Maxima SE. I'm nearly 40. I'm a sucker for Nissan's. Love them.

40 years old. Bought my 1996 Gen 4 maxima in 1999 and it ran great to 105 thousand miles.Only trouble is a stalling issue that I'm trying to narrow down.The car also pulls ot the left for many years now .I can't figure out the problem. Otherwise, it has been an excellent car.

32 - Had a 2008 Max, traded it in for a 2011 Max.

 

First max - First Gen (86) 18yrs
Second max - third Gen (90) 19yrs
Third max - Third Gen(93) 19yrs (traded the 90)
Fourth max: Forth Gen (98) 22yrs

 

Im 28 5th or 5.5 ... Noob, don't know the difference yet, it's an 02'

 

00-03 is technically the 5th gen, but 02-03 is referred to as the 5.5 gen, due to the fact that they have the 3.5 engine, and 6 speed instead of 5 (if it's a manual) Also, the 5.5 has a differently designed front bumper cover, different headlights, and the interior trim on the center console, door trim, etc uses a different material. There are also a few other minor changes, such as the wheels being a little different, and the overhead console has a different sunglass holder. 6 speeds could come with an optional HLSD, whereas the 5 speed had an optional VLSD. 5.5's can get the optional navigation. The taillights also went through different designs, depending on what model year. 2000 SE's and 2001 AE's (Anniversary Edition) had outer smoked tail lights. There were also all red, and Altezza "JDM" chrome tail lights. 5.5 gens also had audio control on the steering wheel, whereas my 5th gen does not.

I'm sure I probably left out a few things, but that pretty much covers most of it.

Btw now 30 yrs old just purchased an 08 maxima 11/2011 owned a 96 maxima in the past .... needed a good , preferably auto daily driver
