Stay away from this product!!!

If you go into any auto section of a store, you will be sure to see Black Magic Tire Tint. NEVER buy this product, as I have only experienced and seen so many horrible results merely from this $5 product.

Firstly, let me say that the product does work and it looks great. I used the red, and it looked sweet (about the same shade as my car). But little did I know what crap I had bought.

Two days after driving it, I realize that it has formed hundreds of little cluster all across the side of my car. "Well, no problem I'll just wipe them off," I say to myself. HAHA! I used water, soap, and even Windex but it would not come off. Finally after hours of scrubbing with a sponge and Windex I realize it is coming off a little. And I continue, and 4 hours later it is finally off...ONE SIDE!

Then I decide I was not that keen on it if I had to do this every other day. So I decide to take it off. Well, guess what - IT DOESN'T COME OFF YOUR TIRES EITHER! AHHHH! I wiped off as much as I could and just left it these (hoping it would all come off with time and weather). It still hasn't completely come off, and my car looks like some hobo-mobile. I almost spray-painted my tire black to get this crap covered up!

Anyways, I go down to my local shop the next day, and tell him how I had spent the whole previous day removing this crap. He tells me, "I had a guy come in here with that stuff. It spread across the whole side of his car, and so he wanted to get it off but couldn't himself. He told me had had left it like that for 2 weeks, but I think it was more like 2 months, because when we went to take it off we realized his whole paint finish underneath the spots had been stripped of a clear coat."

Yes, the product does have a 30-guarentee, but I'm just glad its over and I'll let the $5 slide by. As I was going home, I saw a Probe with the Tire Tint in blue. As I passed him, I looked at his tires and laughed, and I don't think he'll quite understand why until he has the same problem I did.

Sorry the write up was so long on just a $5 tire shine, but this stuff is such a pain and can do such damage I though you guys should know.

Most wheel-cleaners like Meguiars, Eagle, and Black Magic are all bad for wheels. They have a large amount of corrosives that eat brake dust and well as your clear-coats as well. I just use soap and water, and maybe it takes an extra minute, but if my wheels are alright I'll take the time.

That sucks... but why was it on your car as well as your tires? You need to be more careful spraying stuff like that.

Now, about car care cleaning products....
I was at Costco last week and I bought a car care package there that included 5 goodies for 15.00$!!!!!! That is crazy cheap, and it is all Meguiars products:

includes the following:
-WASH... Gold class wash shampoo and conditioner, it's nice and gentle and won't F-up your paint or strip wax.
-WAX... Gold class, clear coat, liquid wax, high gloss, superior paint protection.
-MAINTENANCE... quick detailer, spray bottle, just for fast removal of some nasty shiet that got on the car right after a wax job, it's also good to remove swirl marks and such, spray on and wipe.
-TIRE CARE... Edurance high gloss tire protectant gel, not a spray, a gel, just put some on a towel and rub it on, very nice shipe and gloss.
-VINYL/RUBBER CARE.... Spray, Protectant, makes it nice and shiny, glossy finish, good for dashboards, door panels, tires, window trim and everything else.. good protection from UV rays, softens up dried up molding or window trim, makes it nice and shiny again.

All this crap for 15 bucks. I bought that Wash soap for like 4 bucks before at K-mart.. I also got a pack of 40 soft towels for like 14$ as well. Costco got some great deals, check it out yall!

I didn't put it on my car...

I put it on the tire because I thought it would look cool. And it did. If you do it about 5 times and let it dry for an hour inbetween it maked a nice coar of rub-red. But the crap flung off my tires onto my car!!! And I wasn't even racing hard that week!!! I'll never use "riceboy" (courtesy of Lime) tire tint AGAIN EVER!!!

Yeah I guess to much. My tires actually matched out Ruby cars. I didn't wipe it either, I dabbed, so it was very colorful. Well, I'll never use that crap again.

I did the same thing...I dabbed it on like 5 or six times, and it was bright blue, but when it got on my paint, I just sprayed windex and wiped it off. I wax my car once a month too, maybe thats the difference.

I wax my car every month and get it washed every week (I used to work for a detailer ), but it still wouldn't come off!?! I will never use that crap again.
