Went to the track again...frustrating (New Time Though)!

Well, today was the last day that my local track was open, so I decided to head out there for the afternoon. The weather was promising, 55 degrees and pretty clear.

I got there at Noon and ran almost right away. I ran a 14.530 @ 95.95 with a 2.230 60'. Not too bad, that is now my best time. I kinda bogged on the launch, and figured that with normal launch 14.4's would be easy, and 14.3's weren't impossiable.

Well, after waiting for 2 hours (someone blew his oil pan and there were 250 cars there) I got to go again. This time I screwed up and over did it on the launch, spinning the tires waaaay to long, leading to a 2.432 60' and a 14.837 @ 95.67.

So, I figured third time would be the charm. Well, there was no third time. The sky opened up and it began to rain, and that was it.

I really felt that the car would have run a 14.4 easily...it was still hot from my 2+ hour drive from Fredonia (gf's) to the track. I thought if I let it cool and did slightly better on the launch 14.4's would have been easy.

Maybe next year!
