new intake option for the maxima
#1
got my last issue of import tunner (thank god) and in the power gear pages it has a intake system made by Roar Inc
ima type it out now cuz i traded my scanner for a digi for the weekend (dumbass)
Roar Inc., an inncovator in induction engineering has released the HyperFilter for Nissans: they are available in a specific application kit for the 240sx, altima, and maxima. This induction kit makes gains without compromise to low-end power, like other intakes. It utilizes advanced features such as velosity possitive technology, a reusable poly-filtering systme and has a radiation avoidance design. This allows accelerated mass cold ambient air to be packed into the engine.
For further information, contact: Roat Inc., Dept.2nr, Charleston Suite 2, Las Vagas, NV 89117: (702) 869-8806
that took to long
its got a carbon fiber look to it it's like carbon fiber out side with a ball in the middle and i guess a filter inside looks alright but i dunno if it works...

I'd say do a search for old threads on this, but since we've had like 5 BBSes since that product came up.... that's kinda impossible.
It's a function of the "ram" effect. You have to be traveling at high speed to get even 1lb of "boost"-- IIRC it's 60 or 90mph or something, so basically there's no gain at most speeds with a ram air setup over a cold air setup.
Combine with the fact that it looks just plain ugly.
