Even if there is no significant performance gain, the sound it lets out when you nail it is awesome. There's nothing better than taking off the line at the same speed as the Maxima next to you, then gunning it to see their shocked reaction -- "why doesn't my car do that?"

 

which intake did you install? maybe you could shed some light on your performance gains for those who are looking for more info about different types of intakes...

 

S&B intake...pretty much generic.

i don't know if there were any gains...just plenty of sound @ WOT.

 

damn I thought I was the only one who did that ...thats one of the reason I keep my eye out for stock 3rd gens! its even worse when I pull up on a stock newer gen and they are like "what the hell!!! Mine doesn't make cool noises!?!?" MUHAHAHAHAHA.....

 

people get ****ed off when I show them what makes the noise.

the bottom half of the cold air box removes and the filter taped up on to the top half. It also makes quite a nice noise at half throttle acceleration.
