Considering a newer Maxima

I am looking for some suggestions. I recently got into a pretty bad wreck in my maxima. well i picked it up from the body shop yesterday and it just doesnt ride the same. I am already in a lawsuit with the person who hit me for injuries i sustained in the accident. I want a newer maxima and i just want to get some opinions on which one i should get.

5.5gen 6MT FTW! or a 6th gen 6MT. 6MT max's are very rewarding vehicles.

i am personally not a big fan of the 6th gens in their stock form. Although with a little work they can look very good

a 2006 max 6spd is a historical vehicle. why? because it is the last year nissan offered a manual transmission in the maxima. and it will probably always be the last year the maxima has a manual until the end of time. the very last one. isn't that something?

Personally, I like the 4th gen and the 5.5 the best.

1.) The looks are great on both
2.) I think for sedans of this nature, at the time they had a lot of power for their weight (and still do to this day). Both of these cars I think just have a really sporty character to them.

I won't deny, the 6th gen is a real nice car, but to me it kinda drifted away from what a Maxima is. IMO it got too big as well. Once Nissan killed the manual, honestly that is when I think the Maxima died.

Have you thought about the new Altima?

It depends on what you want to move on to. Maybe even a 2004-2005 Acura TL six speed? That car definitely has some sporting character in it. If you want something even sportier than the Altima or TL, perhaps even a g35 coupe or 350z?

The Subaru Legacy 2.5GT is not a bad ride either.
