Hi there, Maxima.org members!

Hi there! My name is Sarah and I'm an Editorial Assistant for Nissan Sport magazine. We're recently partnered with Internet Brands and maxima.org.

I am a Maxima owner myself (have a 2000 SE) and I am very excited to get the partnership going between maxima.org and Nissan Sport. Check out the magazine http://forums.maxima.org/general-max...ansportmag.com for info, and you can email me at sarah@nissansportmag.com.

Our Fall issue is due out shortly and it's one of our best ever, covering 50 years of Nissan's presence in the United States. Many of you will see your Maximas on the front cover, and inside there's a small write up of Maxus 2008 with pictures, as well as product reviews and more. You can see the front and back covers as well as our table of contents at www.nissansportmag.com.

Hello, again - I'm glad to be here!

I don't know offhand, I didn't get to do the choosing, the editors/publishers chose. You can see it at the website though - it's kind of like Where's Waldo only with Nissans!

Wizard, I can't give you super specifics because the build isn't 100% mapped out yet. I CAN tell you that it's going to start with clutch because my Max's throwout bearing is going, so that's a definite that has to happen very soon. Other than that, it'll likely be a ground up build - the brakes and struts are a logical starting place because of the age of my Max (it's got about 136k at the moment) and it'll go from there.

It'll likely stay naturally aspirated, although that isn't set in stone yet.

Irish, sorry to hear your Max is for sale.

Everyone, thanks for the warm welcome! I'm glad to be here!

Looking forward to the fall issue. They still have one copy of the summer issue at my local Barnes & Noble but I already have it.

Welcome. I'm glad to see a representative from Nissan Sport here. Sadly I had to sell my Maxima because fixing it would of costed too much.(Being a '99 that could easily be totaled in one accident I didn't see it as a worthwhile investment.)

Glad to have you aboard.

Scott, I always love it when Hastings here in NM still has issues, but I like it more when they're sold out. They actually sell out pretty frequently here.

Dive, I'm really glad to be here! My Maxima is probably not a worthwhile investment being a 2000, either but I don't have to worry about modding it voiding its warranty... besides, it's almost paid off!

Not having a car payment is always a good thing. I paid cash for my Elantra so ZERO car payments for me. Of course my Maxima was paid off too.

Welcome Sarah. I checked out the cover pics, no me. But I guess my car is in the Maxus pics, at least that is what I have been told. I am going to subscribe to the magazine as soon as I get my lazy butt around to it.

jon, I can't remember offhand which picture the editors chose. They chose one of the 2009 Maxima and another (I think) group shot from Maxus... hopefully one of them is the one you're thinking of that you're in! My proof copy got packed away once we done actually proofing.

Black_Maxed95 sent me an email of the two pics you used. My car is the white one with the red stripes in the group pic.

Is this the same Sarah/NissanPerformanceMag/MikeKojima that got owned by Jime several years back, regarding an article that said ""the transmission controller is programmed to give full line pressure at wide open throttle"?

Just wondering...thanks

Sarah-how come you don't show your whole face? Are you a fugitive from the law?

When is the new issue out? Didn't see it at Barnes & Noble yesterday.

Maybe she was burned by acid or something <----obvious Princess Bride reference...

I didn't try either, my car is outwardly stock except for the exhaust tips. Other than Hemmings, car mags like a little more flash.

Let's see... lots of questions, haha!

SmokinMax, no affiliation with Nissan Performace. Nissan Sport is independantly published and of no affiliation with other Nissan mags.

hustle and Scott, mainly it was just an idea that the managing editor had to include my car as well as my face, haha. I have a pretty normal lower face no acid burns or giant crazy teeth a la princess bride or melina from Mortal Kombat, haha. Although Scott, being a fugitive from the law would probably have made a much more interesting story...

A VQ35 build is not out of the question in the future.

All the rest of you, hi! I'm glad to be here!
