repost, but definitely 3rd gens and moreso 92-94 SE with the VE engine, i'm 90% sure 1st, 2nd, and 4th-6th gens werent technically 4DSC and 7th gens apparently have the sticker
1st gens are definitely awesome though, being RWD and L series engines. you can swap parts with older Z's so basically 1st gens are like Z sedans

a 1992-1994 Maxima was the only Maxima that could wear the 4DSC logo with pride. I've owned a 3rd, 4th, and 5.5 gen Maxima...
anyone who would say the 5.5 gen was more of a 4DSC than the 3rd gen has obviously never driven a 3rd gen. It just had that feel in it's time. The 5.5 gen 6 spd is just too large and bloated, albeit faster, it doesn't have that feel.

and you have to factor in that not many sedans in the early 90's had 160hp/183tq or 190hp/185?tq (not including performance-style sedans like R32 Skyline GTS-T sedans and Evo I, II,III, etc)
