Well I went to the local muffler shop and had them make me a 2.5 inch B pipe, I love it. My Stillen muffler really is loud now, and it sounds better. I really don't know why I was thinking about buying the stillen one for 200 plus bucks when I got this one done for 75.

No, but you should have seen my old pipe, it was almost all rust. It hung down too low also which was an eyesore, all fixed now though!

 

Sweet Maxedout. Did you have to give them any instructions or anything, or just walk in and ask them to make it. Also how long did it take, and what did they make it out of.

Also about your Stillen S/S Muffler sound.(And now with the B pipe). Does it have a loud drone, or does it have a grumble ?(Like a popcharger)

What the pipe mandrel bent? Any perf. gains?

 

No I just walked in there and told them I need a new one, and 30 mins later I was out the door. I'm not sure what he said it was made out of, but he said it will last for a long time. The muffler drones and grumbles. It's a lot louder now, you can hear it below 2k and after 3k. It is the perfect loudness for me.

 

For $75, you didn't get mandrel bends or stainless steel. That's why you pay $200+ for the Stillen pipe.

Yeah, but I don't really think that would have made any significant performance difference really. I mean the HP gain is like 2 anyways. The main reason I got it is b/c I want it louder and my old was was rusted out.

 

depends hehe... if you have high hp then of course u need it...espcially nos..but i think it helps the overall flow

 

i know the stillen muffler isnt all that loud...but how loud are you now?

Actually I've been told it's one of the loudest ones. I can't really describe on words exactly how loud it is, but I'll just say it is loud, but the sound is pleasing. It's significantly louder than when it was w/ just the muffler. I'd say it's about as loud as a Z28 stock or Cobra. I do not mean it sounds like those(thank god), I mean it is about as loud.

Actually, Stillen stopped pushing the B-Pipe because it does not increase performance.

I really don't know, its pretty darn loud, louder now than when it was when you saw me. I love it though.
