More break-in period question(s)

In the owners manual it said to not:

- accelerate hard:
- drive at constant speed
- brake hard

It did not say to drive under 60mph. Do you think it is ok to go on the highway? May be varying the speed from 50 mph to 60mph? I am going out of town the next two weeks (about 70 minutes drive on the highway with speed limit of 60mph) and I told my friends I prefer not to drive, even though I want to because we don't have snow yet and it would be great to drive though the mountains

Keep it under 65 for the first 300 Miles. Then I would do an oil change. During the break-in of a new motor, there will be deposits in the oil from the engine parts. You can't see them but they are there.
