Question about shaving hedlight "nibs"

I ordered the sarona eyelids and was wondering if anyone know if those "nibs" on the hedlights will be in the way or not? I already shaved them because the ones I have right now are home made. Just here to check if they would overlap the nibs or not.

I'd say paint them body color. Are those things made out of vinyl?

Very good question...

I'm thinking about getting them. I e-mailed Greg and he said it's fiberglass. I would like to know if they would hit those "nibs" or not.

So the ones Greg (custommaxima.com) sells, are by Sarona? Hmm...maybe I'll skip this mod.

I just installed the Sarona eyelids today. I bought them from Greg and they arrived Monday. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday painting them super black with clear coat. Yes, the little nubs on the headlights got in the way, so using a Dremel tool I had to shave them down flat. Once they were off the eyelids layed flat. I like how the look but they could fit a little better. All in all Im happy with them but since Im a perfectionist they arent up to my standards. Id take them off if I could but now I have all that sh***y glue on my headlights and clearance lights, so Ill live with them. From more than 5 feet away they look perfect.

update- I recieved my eyelids....sarona sucks big time... mine came and the eyelids dont look not even close to eachother..one is shorter than the other about an ince so that one doesnt even go all the way around. the other one "looks" fine but I didnt bother trying to test fit that one since the other one didnt even come close to a good fit. im going to return them I wanted these things to have a good fit and finnish but it let me down... guess I would have to keep my existing eyelids.

The headlight "nibs" are not there for no reason. Body shops will align the headlights using an adjustment tool which hooks onto the little ***** on the front of the headlights. Don't shave these off!

you can get them at a vinyl graphics place that does graphic kits for cars. just go in and ask to buy about a 2 foot by 1 foot sheet of it. I used 2 layers of vinyl for mine so it will look more full and less transparent. Why doesnt someone come out with some good urethane or plastic type material eyelids?
