that's what I was thinking ... you'd think that if you're paying $1600+ you wouldn't have such issues ... but then again ... I'm going from second hand knowledge ...

If it is anything like the oem supension you would remove it like this: You have to put wrench on the bolt on the very top of the strut, then you get a vise grip and attach it to flat piece of metal at the very top of the strut. While holding the vise grip firm turn the nut{14mm on mine} counter clock wise with your wrenchYou may need to use a vice to hold the strut still}. With enough force you should get the nut to break loose and then it should unscrew pretty easaly. REMEMBER to compress your spring before doing this with a spring compressor! So after you get the bolt off the top of the strut remove the strut tower insulator{the piece with the 2 Strut tower bolts sticking out}, then remove the rest of the harware and do the reverse to reinstall. But like I said before, these directions are for a oem setup so they may not apply for your cattman coilovers.

Did the sleeve break, or did the strut break?
Did you get the replacement parts from Brian? Why didn't he give you some instructions?
If you still need help, email me and I'll help you.

If you are familiar with the coilovers, at the top of the shock where the bronze looking piece is welded on(this is what goes threw the strut tower). The weld broke. I cant see how it held as long as it did. WTF man high dollars for this too man sheot.

I have the cattman coilovers and I'm not sure what you are talking about...are these gen1's or 2's?

Yep, I had the same problem with the Cattmans where the strut rod snapped at the weld. You'd think for that much money you'd get a more reliable product huh?
