Some general maxima info for you

I just thought I would let you guys know that the factory axle nut on the CV's of my '00 SE is 1.25 inches. I been trying to find a metric socket for it but standared inch and a quarter fits perfectly.

Wish me luck on my axle swap, its my first fwd work.

Are they the original axles? If so, the nut should have a 36mm head. Sounds like an aftermarket axle, I've had a few for the Maxima that I've used a 32mm socket on (1 1/4" is 31.75mm, close enough).

Aftermarket axles (or replacement nuts) are usually stock size, but sometimes aren't.

As far as I know they are the original axles. The new aftermarket axles came with the larger 36mm nut, but I'm reusing the older nuts since they have a shoulder built into them.
