Body shop will weld up the holes and use filler like Bondo.

If it's done correctly, no. But filler with expand with heat so you will see it during hot summer days.

Why don't you guys save money and help other people out at the same time?
Find someone who wants a spoiler and trade trunks. You don't pay anything or even make money and the other person is happy. Everyone wins.

So, is the shaved door handles, key hole, and antenna for example done the same way? I'm about to head to the bodyshop to get a quote. I want to get my trunk repainted, the holes filled up, key hole shaved, and antenna shaved. I wonder could doing all that be done for around $500? Hm...

BTW, why the hell would anyone want to get rid of their spoiler ??? Yes the old saying "to each their own", but w/o the spoiler it is just too plain IMHO.
Well, I'm back from the bodyshop. It's too expensive. I'm going to search for an used gxe/gle trunk instead. The bodyshop even recommended that I search for an used trunk. Oh well...if only I could find someone near me to trade trunks.
