Link to WSP subframe PICs

Here is the link to a few PICs Dallas has added to our web site. Please remember these are working prototypes and NOT the final product. We are still doing lots of testing, these will probaly change some as we learn more.

Tell me about it, we had to go back to the pc and CNC machine a few times before coming up with a final camber plate. I like the idea of a two level type subframe rails for more stiffness, from your initial post about the upcoming bars. I'm sure you have heard if already, more pics please.

WSP mod stuff

Max2000, don't worry Dallas and I are going to have stuff for the 5th Gen out soon as well. Talk to Russ, he chatted with Dallas about 45 min, just the other night. R and D takes more time than I would like. A year ago we were so optomistic about being able to quickly put an item up for sale, now we realize like Candiman says, going back to the drawing board is a common occurance.

WSP mods

That's our original idea. We have talked about bolt on. I think the cars hollow bracing seems too weak to go with bolts. Dallas is the one who has the welding/machining back ground, all I can say is we will see. I think the do it your selfer would appreciate bolt on, it would require drilling and tapping holes in precise spots. About the cross bracing, we are looking at several types of cross material shapes. Thanks for the interest. We will post more updates as they develop.

Hey can you guys make a lower control arm brace such as this? http://www.sentra.net/solm/april01/ntec.shtml

I think that should make a big difference as well, especially with our mcpherson strut design. I'm curious to see what a 4 gen's subframe brace will do, I heard the 4 gen chassis is already 50% or so stiffer then the 3 gen. if this is true then the subframe braces may or may not make a huge difference compared to the 3 gen.

I think the sub frames were much more effective on the 3rd gen. And the independent rear also adds a little flavor.

I have the subframe braces on my 4th gen, I cant comment about the amount of diffrence compared to a 3rd gen but i can say that they do make a nice diffrence on me 4th.
