A set of nice tires can make a stock Maxima handle so much better!

UDP=Tornado intake silly.

Wait, didn't they 'prove' that the Tornado intake WORKED in the commercial? I guess the same holds true for the UDP.

I say the best mod on my car was the suspension, but it was a little more than $500. I still voted suspension. Stock Maxima is not a good handling car!

Well the answer depends on the current status of the car. If the car is bone stock I would say start with suspension -> then intake y-pipe -> brakes and tires.

Sprints and AGX's... no contest. Or if you want to up the limit, H&Rs and AGXs.

Bset mods for 500

I vote for both the CAI = $155, & Aluminized mandrel y-pipe $225, that leaves $120 left over to go towards a 3rd mod like UDP or what ever.

I would do suspension. You prove your car is quite fast as it is right now. Now maybe you could prove that you could take them in the curves as well.

If your Max still has the stock suspension setup, you know how bad it is. I'm sure people would agree, one mod that almost nobody regret about is suspension mod.

Doh! So, in your opinion, which mod was the best to get? Actually, this isn't a bad poll. I'm trying to lure a guy I know to fix up his Maxima, but he doesn't know what to get first. His car is totally stock though. I say suspension. Btw, he has a '97 SE auto.

just curious...if you want to boost a Maxima...would a SC/TC really be a better alternative to a 75 shot of NOS???....assuming money isnt a problem

im guess what you're paying for is longevity??

I would have to go with suspension, that was a pretty hard choice, since the Ypipe added the most HP to my car.

no doubt its all about straight line speed. y-pipe and an intake. scrounge up another 350.00 and you can get an exhaust system. boom your max is done . for now.

I would have to say suspension (not sure if it can be done for $500). Anyway, I would rather have a car that can hang in the twisties than have it a bit faster in the straights. It's a toss up.

GTR emblem. Adds at least 50hp and costs under $10. An absolute must-buy.

Y-pipe or AGX would be a great choice.

Dont know why nitrous was not included in that poll. But anyway it's by far the best mod for 500. NO DOUBT.

AND for those of you who consider it cheating get out of this hobby. Don't be jealous because you don't have it or know nothing about it or are scared to use it.
AND no it's not dangerous IF USED PROPERLY... You need to have it setup properly and make sure you have enough fuel.

Toss up, the intake, y-pipe and cat, or suspension (shocks, struts, FSTB, and go rob a store or something for 200 bucks for a sway bar)...
