Just moved up!
I just registered today. I sold my 94 altima gxe and moved up to a 1999 maxima se with only 10,000 miles. It has side airbags, automatic climate control, heated front seat... The only downside is the wood grain trim on the dash. Any suggestions on removing it??? My sister has a 98 se and i just loved that car. so i had to get one. I will recieve the car by staurday. I 'm so excited. What do you guys think.
I'm sure it can be taken off...I'd recommend installing a Joshua Tree Aluminum Dash Kit, especially if your interior is black. They look really sharp. Other mods you might consider installing are a FSTB, RSB, Clear Corners, etc. You'll have to post some pics!!

However, it is likely the trim will still look a bit off after removal. Your best bet is to replace it with a new trim kit...
Thanks for the help. I cannot post pictures because I will recieve the car on Saturday. So I will do it by Sunday. I heard that removing the trim will leave marks. Maybe I should just leave it alone. I'm planning to install a alarm, remote start, 5% tint on the back windows and 20% up front. Just a little at a time.
I removed a piece,
heres what happened to me I purchased a rose wood kit with manual climate control, but I have auto climate control. All the pieces fit perfect exept for where the climate control was so I tried putting the trim that goes on the manual climate control on my auto and came out rely strange looking,so I tried to take it off but it was rely on there good all in all I ended up leeving a nice little scratch there but I got it off.If you use a heat gun or even a blow drier {I did not} then it may come off a lot easier.
