Tech Question, please help

Ok heres my problem, over the past few weeks I have noticed a few things about my car. First of all when I first start the car and drive, I notice a clicking-type noise. To me it actually sounds like more of a vibrating sort of noise but it comes from the front passenger side of the car. It happens on hard acceleration regardless of whether or not I am turning. People have told me it's the CV joint but I'm not exactly positive. I checked for grease in that area to confirm but I havent found any.

Now I have noticed something else about the car more recently. Whenever I get above about 55-60 mph the car gets real bumpy like Im driving on a gravel road almost. Past 75 it gets better but the vibration still is there but sporadicly (sp?)

Now I have only two guesses, CV joint or wheel bearing. What do you guys think? More importantly, what are the consequences of driving on it?

YAH THe shaking would be due to an alignment problem. as for the noise, i have the same thing, its usually when im around 2k-2.5k rpms, and its more like a buzzing, but i didnt get worried about it cuz my saab did the same thing

keep in mind...
shaking and vibrations - wheel balance or tire/rim out of round
pulling or uneven tire wear - alignment

Re: Tech Question, please help

Rotate your tires. If the sound moves to the back, then congrats, your problem is relatively simple. It's either your wheels or tires. They could have gone bad because of wheel balance, wheel alignment, or bent rim. If the noise stays in the front after your rotation, then you've got bigger problems, like bearing, CV joint etc

ok so I've noticed that the side in question is leaking some sort of fluid. does that help narrow down the problem for sure? It looks like some sort of oil type fluid...
