what my car has been doing the last 1.5months PICS inside

on oct 19th, some lady decided to make a left turn from the center lane into my lane and hit me(left lane). results of that can be seen here:

http://www.sx7r.com/sx7rpics/acc

on oct 25th, the max goes to body shop and is there until november 23rd. i get it back, but my cf hood is not here yet, so it sits in the garage for another week while i install new gauges, rev speed meter, and a direct port kit. so on dec 1st, i've got everything working and the cf hood on. pics here:

http://www.sx7r.com/sx7rpics/120701/sx7r1.jpg

http://www.sx7r.com/sx7rpics/120701/brake1.jpg
http://www.sx7r.com/sx7rpics/120701/engine1.jpg

so... later that night i decide to go for a drive. shift from 2nd to 3rd and hear lots of grinding. i no longer have 1st,2nd, and 3rd gear. i drive back to the shop on 4th gear - oh yeah, that was fun. clutch was toast after that. i drop the tranny that night and here are those results:

so, now i'm waiting for another tranny to come in. it's been a fun month and a half. next week, i'll be up and running again. better pics then.

by the way... here are the new pics:

Call up your insurace company and tell them your transmission failed after only a few miles back on the road and you want to make a claim. After all a hit strong wnough to bend your frame could possibly damage your transmission. Its worth a few phone calls and a letter or two, what ya got to loose?

he didn't get the RX-7 rims for "looks", he got them becuase they are REALLY light and can fit 255 tires on them.

Hey..sounds kinda like my last TWO monthes. My tranny went end of September..gears looked even worse than yours...and then after only having the car back for 2 and a half weeks....the differential literally explodes. My car has now been back in the trans shop for almost a month..and I purchased a quaife ATB....I SHOULD have my car back tomorrow morning....we'll see.

eric: think i just missed third too many times. no money to quaife now. in a few months.

slick: yes that's a dual exhaust. thanks.

Matt: the ins company wouldn't even give me my other foglight after the initial claim inspection. i don't think they'll give me a tranny. i already ordered one anyway. hows your juiced boost coming?

RedMax95: no, the lady was glaring at me like it was my fault. she ignored me when i asked if she was ok. she was a bish.

mozy: we were all going about 20mph because we just entered the intersection after a light and she just turns into my lane.

thebigsadler: i like rx7 rims. in fact i have 10 of them 4 chrome that you see on the car, 4 regular sitting at the shop, 2 more regular with 26x11.5x16 MT slicks mounted on them. however, i'm considering getting some racing hart cp-035r's.

BriGuyMax: yup.

thanks for all the replies guys. UR flywheel comes in on monday. tranny comes in on tuesday, so hopefully i'll be running tuesday night.

no you wouldnt have because then you would pay all of the work on the car, you would get fined, and probably put in jail for assualt and battery.. insurance might drop you and that lady could sue the crap out of you..

i'd probably do the same tho..

matt: i just bought a new kit and some misc fittings. about $700.

max88q: about $210. might fit, dunno for sure. if your ECU has speed sensor wire, rpm wire, power, ground, it should work.
