Outer Tie Rod Question.

I was wondering if you could take the outer tie rod and swap it around as in Its mounted on top and bolted thru the bottom, I want to reverse this so the rods are not angled so high due to the car being lowered, It will definetly let the inner and outers last longer if there more strait and not such on a sharp angle.

Isn't the tie rod post that attaches to the spindle tapered? Besides, I'm not sure I would want my tie rod end exposed like that on the bottom.

I just check a 5th gen spindle, the hole in the spindle is tapered so flipping it is not possible.
