Question regarding Tints during the 2 day no window usage waiting period
I got my tints done with life time warranty at some place a friend recommended. It looked good at first but then i started noticing some bubbles around the edges. I took it back and he said its normal and once it dries, they will go away. He said if it doesn't I could take it back.
Should I be worried? Also, my rear windshield has some spots that look like lint was left behind and didnt let the tint adhere correctly. Are they going to have to do the whole thing again? Will there be left over glue? I don't want them scratching up my defroster grid because of it.
Its not a horrible job, im just picky and im just wondering if this is normal to have "some" types of tiny bubbles.

i know it could be completely irrelevant, but i noticed when i applied a huge vinyl sunvisor on my friend's windshield that for a couple days it had tiny bubbles that disappeared eventually

Yes it's normal, if they are still there after about a week then there might be something wrong. As for the rear window it's near impossible to get a perfect application with the paint around the outside and the defroster.

Are you saying that you had old tint removed, and can see some of it still there in the back window under the new tint? Yeah, that's a labor issue, and if it's something that looks bad enought that you can't live with it, take it back. They should be able to sweat off the new stuff in one piece, and clean the window without razor blades. That said, the old tint under that might be an issue, but if there's just a little bit of it left, they should be able to correct this in less than an hour.

If the bubbles last more then a week I'd take it back, just don't roll down the windows for the 2 or 3 days and they'll disappear in a few days, the shop that did mine told me the same thing and now my windows look perfect.
I realize this is a week or so old, so what did you end up doing?
